Inside Canada's Parliament

Quiet place for reflection?


This is where Canada's Senate meets. Since Parliament is in session, visitors can only come and take pictures when the room is empty.



The Senate walls hold pictures depicting wars and European settlement of Canada.


The ceiling is ornate too. Canada's tax dollars at work.


Leading to the library and carved into the limestone walls scenes of...something...


The library doors. The doors are made of steel and were made to withstand fire when closed. During last century's (or was it the 19th century) fire, only the library was saved.

There are no pictures of inside the library because we weren't allowed to take pictures while in there in case we bothered those working in the library. Needless to say, the inside of the library is just as impressive as its outside.
